Fuji Recipes
Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 6, 2026
Fuji Recipes is a mobile application for Fujifilm camera photographers to read, edit, share, and write film simulation recipes to their camera over USB-C. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Data We Collect
Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. You may optionally add an Instagram handle. Account data is stored on our servers (hosted by Supabase) and is used to identify you within the app.

Camera Data

When you connect your Fujifilm camera via USB-C, the app reads your custom preset slots (C1–C7) using Apple's ImageCaptureCore framework. This includes film simulation type, grain effect, color chrome, dynamic range, tone curves, sharpness, clarity, noise reduction, and white balance.

Camera data is processed entirely on your device. We do not transmit camera data to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share a recipe.

Community Recipes & Photos

If you share a recipe to the community gallery, we store the recipe settings, any title or description you provide, and any sample photo you upload. This content is visible to other users.

Usage Data

We collect basic, anonymized usage analytics to understand how the app is used. This may include app launches, feature usage frequency, and crash reports. We do not collect device identifiers that could track you across apps.

2. How We Use Your Data
Operate the app and provide its core features
Display your profile and shared recipes in the community
Send transactional communications (e.g. password resets)
Improve the app through anonymized analytics

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described here.

3. USB Camera Access

The app uses Apple's ImageCaptureCore framework to communicate with your camera over USB-C. This is used solely to read and write recipe settings on preset slots. The app does not access your photos, files, or any other data on the camera or its SD card. USB communication happens entirely on-device.

4. Third-Party Services
Supabase — authentication, profile storage, recipe database, and image storage. Privacy policy.
Apple ImageCaptureCore — system framework for USB camera communication, runs locally.
5. Data Storage & Security

Account data, shared recipes, and uploaded photos are stored on servers provided by Supabase, which uses encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Camera data that you have not shared remains on your device only.

6. Your Choices & Rights
Delete your account by contacting us — we will remove all your data, recipes, and photos
Remove shared recipes at any time from within the app
Camera access only occurs while physically connected and the app is in the foreground
7. Children's Privacy

Fuji Recipes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by updating the date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
